Software Research Institute

The mission of the Software Research Institute (SRI) is to provide a more coordinated approach to the design and development of a common set of software components across an increasing set of projects. The software produced through SRI will maintain high priority in design, architecture, quality, documentation, support, and training. This software will meet and exceed current community standards for usability and quality in open source projects, while still remaining focused on scientifically motivated research projects. In providing this type of software certain processes must be in place, which enable agile and rapid, yet high quality, software development. The SRI and its members will not only define, evolve, and embrace the best practices which enable these principles but will educate others on these methodologies.

Software Research Institute:

  • SRI Projects Inventory is a comprehensive list of information and downloads for all our software packages. View dashboards to moniter our progress on currently active projects, or read up and try out our completed and maintained products.
  • SRI Principles lists all our practices, projects and software development principles.
