Kun Huang, Ph.D., Joins BMI

New faculty member, Kun Huang, Ph.D., arrives in Autumn 2004 to pursue research at BMI. Prof. Huang has Masters degrees in Physiology and Math and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research interests, publications, and presentations encompass machine learning and bioinformatics, including dimensionality reduction and data clustering, microarray data analysis, and biological networks and neural engineering; computer vision and image processing, involving geometric vision, event detection, and pattern recognition; and control theory and robotics related to vision-based robotic control, navigation, and mapping.
