BMI Services are divided into two categories:
- Consulting Services: BMI consults clients on informatics research and applications. BMI's consultants include experts from a broad range of specializations in bioinformatics, medical informatics, imaging informatics, high-performance computing, and grid development. BMI's consulting services help researchers and organizations more efficiently develop and apply leading edge informatics technologies.
- Software Research Institute (SRI): BMI's Software Research Institute develops and implements software that meets and exceeds current community standards for usability and quality in open source projects. SRI focuses on research domains relevant to biomedical informatics and educates researchers and developers on best practices in software development.
- Shared Resource Consulting Service (CCC Shared Resource): The Biomedical Informatics core of the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center is a consulting service for the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of high throughput data, and this core provides a service in data management, archiving, and software development.
