Positions
v Postdoctoral Researcher – We have a postdoctoral
researcher position opening jointly with Dr. Jeffrey Parvin’s
group on developing bioinformatics tools for analyzing next generation
sequencing data and gene networks with applications in breast cancer research.
We seek highly motivated candidate with experience and interest in
bioinformatics, computational biology or related fields. Interested candidate please
send your CV (including list of related course works) to Dr. Kun Huang at khuang@bmi.osu.edu.
v Research Associate – We have a student research
associate position for a bioinformatics project on developing software tools and
algorithms for analyzing large biomedical data. Experience and knowledge in at
least one of the following areas is
desired: database and webtool design using Java or
.Net, bioinformatics, signal processing (especially wavelet analysis), machine
learning/patter recognition, or image processing. Experience with programming
languages (such as Java, Python, Perl, and Matlab) is
required. Background in biology will certainly help but is not required. Interested
candidate please send your CV (including list of related course works) to Dr.
Kun Huang at khuang@bmi.osu.edu.
v Visiting Scholar / Visiting Student – Please send Dr. Kun Huang your
CV if you are interested in the following areas: bioinformatics, biomedical
image analysis, computer vision, machine learning/pattern recognition, and
computational/systems biology.
