I am currently a PhD student at the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and working as a Graduate Research Associate
at the Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, The Ohio State University. I received my BSc. degree from
Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2004 and MSc. degree from
Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2006, both in Computer Engineering. Before joining to OSU,
I worked as a Research Assistant at the Computer Vision Research Laboratory at Yeditepe University
during 2004-2006.
My current research interests include computer vision, image analysis, image understanding, and statistical pattern recognition with applications in medicine. Recently I am working on histopathological image analysis under the supervision of Prof. Metin Gurcan and Prof. Umit Catalyurek.
